Detective Sergeant Tamba Marrah attached Ross Road Police Station has testified in an on-going murder trial presided over by Magistrate Alhaji Sullaiman Koroma.
Tamaba’s testimony centers on the accused, Posseh Koroma who allegedly murdered a 2-month old, Isata Kamara.
The Witness, Tamba recognised the accused and recalled 19th January this year. He told the court that he was on duty at Ross Road Police Station when the accused was brought to the police station alongside a murder case file from Kissy Police Station for further investigation.
“The matter was assigned to me for investigation,” Witness said.
He also testified that he obtained voluntary caution statement from the accused witnessed by his co-detective, A. Collins.
“Owing to the evidence, I charged the accused with murder and child cruelty,” witness rounded up his testimony.
The accused remanded and is yet to be represented.
The matter comes up on 18th, March.
Police charge indicates that Posseh Koroma, on Sunday 5th January 2020 at Bondigba Community, Deep Eye Water in Waterloo, in the Western Rural district of the Republic of Sierra Leone, murdered two-month old, Isata Kamara.
