Man Sentenced Three Months Imprisonment

Magistrate Alhaji Suliaman Koroma, of the Ross Road Magistrate Court No.1, has sentenced one Alpha Abdulai Jalloh, for three months imprisonment or he pays three million Leones (Le3, 000,000) fines. This happened on Friday 30th October, 2020.

Alpha Abdulai Jalloh was standing trial for two counts of larceny, which are all contrary to the laws of Sierra Leone. When the charges were put to him, he pleaded guilty on both counts. It was against this backdrop that the police prosecutor tendered the voluntary caution and charged statements of the accused to form part of the court`s records.

The police charge adduces that Alpha Abdulai Jalloh, on the diverse dates between Wednesday 2020 and 18th Saturday 2020, at Sankoh`s Compound Calaba Town, in Freetown, stole two million Leones (Le 2,000,000) belonging to the complainant.
