Two Charged For Wounding

Tieh Mathew and Amie Marie Kamara have made their first appearance before Magistrate Loyle Jusu, who presides over the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No.7, for allegedly assaulting and wounding George Brown (complainant), in a manner thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.

The incident occurred on the 11th April, 2021, at Kroo Street in Freetown. When the charge was read to the accused, they pleaded not guilty.

The police say Tieh Mathew, on the 11th April, 2021, in Freetown, wounded the complainant in a manner thereby causing him grievous bodily harm. The charge sheet furthered that the 2nd accused (Amine Marie Kamara), on the same date and address in Freetown, assaulted George Brown (complainant), in a manner thereby causing him grievous bodily harm.

Both accused were granted ten million Leones (Le10,000,000) bail each, with one surety in like sum. The sureties should reside in Freetown and bail condition should be approved by the deputy Master and Registrar. The matter was adjourned to 30th June, 2021.
