Philanthropist ‘Kush Yoga’ Presents Football Equipment

British born philanthropist, John Brown popularly known as Kush Yoga has on Wednesday March  presented football equipment towards grassroot footballer development at the Kroo Bay Community field.

The equipment which include five (5) footballs, training cones, bibs and jerseys were distributed among two junior football clubs, Western Warriors FC, Boys of Yaka FC and the Camp DIVA Youth Football Association.

Speaking to Nightwatch Sports, the Kush Yoga Brown who was accompanied by another British born-Annabella underscored that he visited Sierra Leone some years back and went to the Kamayama-Jah Kingdom Community in Freetown where donated some football items.

He said he later saw a primary school which was built with zinc (pan body) and was moved to assist the children to get a better building, a project he is now implementing.

“I am really happy to be here because it’s the same way I went to Kamayama-Jah Kingdom Community to donate football equipment and now I am building a standard primary school for the less privileged children,” Yoga recounted.

 He reminded the audience that he met with Abu Bakar Barrie (Agama Bobo Lizad) who brought him to Kroo Bay Community.

“It is a  pleasure to donate these football equipment. I appeal to people in England who offers me the equipment for free, so it cost me nothing and I am very happy to give it out as charity to the children and grassroot footballers who are always constrained to get these items,” Kush Yoga stated.

He also revealed that Annabella who accompanied him from England is one of the donors towards the building of the school noting that she is here to see the school construction.

He promised to come back to Sierra Leone in October to assist the less privileged with free medical care.

He concluded by assuring that after the completion of the school, he would visit Kroo Bay community.

In his brief statement, the Chairman, Camp DIVA Youth Football Association Charles Carew expressed appreciation to Brown for such a wonderful gesture, and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the equipment.

Mohamed Sesay, the team captain of Boys of Yaka FC thanked Kush Yoga and promised to make good use of the equipment.
