‘I Will Not Betray Sierra Leoneans’ –Dr Samura Assures

Must read

APC (All People’s Congress)’s presidential candidate, Dr Samura Kamara  has assured  Sierra Leoneans that he will not betray them come what may. The assurance comes at a time an inter-Party dialogue between APC and the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party illegitimate is pending.

“I will not and never betray the trust and confidence reposed in me by Sierra Leoneans,” he reiterated.

The dialogue, he said, was the cause of a short meeting between him and President Bio considered as the most peaceful way to resolve the election stand off.

“You are always on my mind, in my prayers, and in my plans to build back a stable, peaceful, united and prosperous nation,” he assured the people.

He reiterated that the dialogue is meant to give peace and diplomacy a chance in solving an impasse that puts the dishonesty of Mohamed Kenewui Konneh at the centre. Konneh heads the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone, a body mandated by law to conduct and supervise public elections in Sierra Leone.

The two, according to Kamara, are one and must realise that their action has put the country at the highest risk of political instability and funding cut.

Such action, he says, badly dents the country’s image even abroad, but hopes that the dialogue will also help to unravel the truth.

Most importantly, he went on, the dialogue offered a unique opportunity for Sierra Leoneans to right the wrongs of the elections and restore the country’s democracy which has been ruined owing to the quest for power and control by the Bio regime.

Kamara also assured his supporters that the party has been coherent and firmly determined to advance the people’s interest.

“Our regular interaction with the international community in our quiet moments has further strengthened the party’s resolve to build a sustainable, peaceful, united, democratic and resourceful nation,” Kamara informed his supporters.

As people watch their backs, he assures they would also do likewise, and such is what Sierra Leone needs, and it is what the APC party leadership will continue to advocate now, tomorrow and ever after.
