News reaching nightwatch has revealed that the New Direction Government has randomly issued over 300 diplomatic passports to Government officials, relatives and their children. This act has again plunged this precious national symbol into complete disrepute, just like it had obtained in the previous APC regime.
A source very close to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has intimated this press that the new government abused these diplomatic passports to the point that certain individuals, including children of highly placed government officials, who are not fit to handle these passports, have now been issued them.
This press is in possession of individuals and relatives of government functionaries, including children, who have been issued with diplomatic passports. In fact, we will start publishing such information including pictures of such passports in subsequent editions.
What is the essence of condemning the APC for allocating Sierra Leone passports to people who do not deserve them when the New Direction government is now doing the same thing?
When will our Governments respect and understand that certain national symbols, like our passports, should be treated with the seriousness they deserve and should not go to every Jack and Jill?
Many Sierra Leoneans are now coming to terms with the reality that most of what President Bio and his Paopa Government has condemned the APC for they are now doing at a very large scale.
