Orange Sierra Leone Chief Executive Officer, Aisha Touré, accompanied by members of senior management, has concluded a five day nationwide listening tour aimed at strengthening engagement with customers, sales partners, local authorities, and communities across the country.
The tour, held from 27 to 31 July 2026, covered Port Loko, Western Area Urban and Rural, Makeni, Kono, Kenema, and Bo, providing the Orange Sierra Leone leadership team with an opportunity to engage directly with customers, sales partners, local leaders, and other stakeholders.
The initiative was designed to provide the company’s leadership with firsthand insight into the experiences, needs, concerns, and expectations of customers and communities outside Freetown. Discussions focused on service delivery, network experience, customer needs, business opportunities, and the company’s broader contribution to communities.
During the engagements, CEO Aicha Touré acknowledged the challenges and concerns raised by customers, recognizing the importance of addressing issues affecting their experience with the company’s services. She expressed management’s willingness to work towards practical and sustainable solutions, while assuring customers that their feedback would be carefully considered as the company continues to improve its services.
Speaking during the tour, Ms. Touré said direct engagement with stakeholders was essential to understanding the realities faced by customers and partners across the country.
“Meeting our customers, partners, and local leaders face to face allows us to better understand their realities and expectations. Listening, learning, and identifying opportunities for improvement provide the kind of insights that lead to better business decisions and stronger relationships.”
In line with the company’s commitment to strengthening its operations outside Freetown, Orange Sierra Leone also provided additional mobility support to its trade teams, including kekeh (three wheelers), motorbikes, and a Hilux vehicles.
The mobility support is intended to enhance the operational agility of trade teams, improve their ability to reach customers and sales partners, and support more efficient field operations across the regions.
The initiative forms part of the company’s broader efforts to equip its field teams with the resources required to respond more effectively to customer needs, strengthen market presence, and improve engagement with communities and business partners.
Beyond formal stakeholder meetings, Ms. Touré also visited local markets during the tour, where she interacted directly with traders, customers, and members of the public. The market visits provided the CEO with an opportunity to engage with people in their everyday business environments, hear their experiences, and better understand their expectations of Orange Sierra Leone’s products and services.
During the visits, the CEO and her delegation distributed Orange-branded items to customers and members of the public, creating an opportunity for informal interaction and reinforcing the company’s connection with communities at the grassroots level.
The market engagements reflected Ms. Touré’s emphasis on taking the Orange brand closer to customers and ensuring that leadership remains connected to the realities of the communities the company serves.

As part of the tour, the delegation also paid courtesy visits to provincial authorities and other key stakeholders, reinforcing Orange Sierra Leone’s commitment to maintaining strong partnerships at the local level.
The delegation received a warm welcome from mayors and local leaders, who congratulated Ms. Touré on her appointment as Chief Executive Officer and expressed appreciation for the company’s continued engagement with communities across the country.
During the engagements, local authorities highlighted a number of priorities, including the need for continued investment in Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives within their municipalities. Mayors in Port Loko, Makeni, and Bo also encouraged Orange Sierra Leone to explore opportunities to support city beautification initiatives, which they said could contribute to improving the appearance of the cities while creating greater visibility for community development efforts and corporate partners.
Responding to the issues raised, Ms. Touré assured local leaders, customers, and sales partners that management would carefully review the feedback received and consider practical ways of addressing the concerns within the company’s priorities and available resources.
“Orange is in Sierra Leone to connect people in every corner of the country and improve lives through reliable connectivity and innovative digital services. We remain committed to working closely with our partners and communities to address challenges, strengthen our network, and continue delivering the quality of service our customers expect,” she said.
The nationwide listening tour forms part of Orange Sierra Leone’s broader commitment to strengthening customer relationships, empowering field teams, and deepening stakeholder partnerships. It also provides an opportunity for the company’s leadership to translate feedback from communities and partners into priorities that can support improved service delivery and sustainable business growth.
By engaging directly with stakeholders across the country, visiting markets and communities, and strengthening the resources available to its field teams, Orange Sierra Leone says it aims to deepen its understanding of local needs, improve responsiveness, strengthen partnerships, and continue contributing to Sierra Leone’s digital transformation.
