Following the successful conclusion of the National Debating and Essay Writing Competition, SLCB Brand Ambassador, Suad Baydoun has highlighted the convenience, speed and reliability of the Sierra Leone Commercial Bank (SLCB) Online Banking platform after using the service to pay prizes to participating teams.
The SLCB Ambassador confirmed that payment of all competition prizes had been completed and transferred to the preferred coaches and representatives of the respective teams through the bank’s online banking system.
According to her, the process was completed conveniently from the comfort of her home, demonstrating how digital banking services can make financial transactions easier, faster and more convenient.
“For the sake of transparency and accountability, I would like to clarify that some of the names appearing on the payment receipts may differ from the names of the actual winners. This is because the names reflected on the receipts are the preferred names provided for the payment of the respective prizes,” she explained.
She further clarified that, in several cases, parents of essay writers and coaches of the debating teams received the prize money on behalf of the winners and their respective teams.
“The payments were therefore made to the designated individuals as requested by the participants and their representatives,” she added.
The Ambassador said what made the payment process particularly convenient was the ability to complete all the transactions remotely through SLCB Online Banking without having to visit a banking hall.
“The service made it possible to transfer the prize money quickly, conveniently and securely, with recipients receiving the funds within seconds.
