Divine Intervention Is To Blame

Must read

Our Editorials had been trending towards an APC defeat although we did not say so in so many words. We make bold to say that the changes of fortune of a fractured party about five months earlier to a united and vibrant party is too good to be true .The blame game has featured President Ernest Bai Koroma for sacking former Vice –President Sam Sumana ,appointing single –handedly ,John Bonoh Sesay for poor campaign management ,Nfa –Alie Conteh for alleged collusion with the opposition ,Ex President Mahama of Ghana and the International Community amongst other factors .The game has resulted in own goals .What is certain is that the players in that game are agnostics and atheists who do not believe in the omnipotence of God.

We had said that the rainbow that encircled the sun (their party symbol ) was an ominous sign from the heavens that God himself had become disgusted with the misrule of the APC  government .Rene Descrates said ‘’That God has foreordained everything is self –evident “ in his Principles of Philosophy.  Napoleon   I said “ When destiny wills ,it must be obeyed “ In spite of these unbelievers and even some professed Christian and Muslim APC members and supporters think that it is their own will that should prevail .SLPP chairman and Leader was right when he said that the success of his party was due to the Almighty God. The hidden hand of God was exposed in that rainbow that encircled the sun and the rainfall in the early hours of election day that was interpreted by believers as showers of blessing .The whole elections sage seems like a historic replay of david and Goliath in the Bible .While the great Goliath came to David with  a sword ,spear and javelin ,David put his hand in his bag and took out a stone with which he slung and struck the  Philistine on his forehead and he fell on his face on the ground .This time round David (The SLPP) took out two stones because they were small stones .The first stone in the first round did not quite kill Goliath (The APC ) but left him in a stupor .It was the second stone in the runoff that dealt the final blow to the APC (Goliath) .Never say never “ Nar ikuru dog dae kill lepet .”

Why certain people would never face reality is an enigma wrapped up in a mystery .They would rather face fantasy and events should always be as they like it .What a force! These had been the handwriting on the wall but they feigned ignorance of it to their peril.

Their talk of continuity instead of change is bereft of simple gumption and logic .If their thinking was not skewed they should have reasoned that if continuity was the desideratum for governance the SLPP that “lost “an election in 2007 through a so called democratic election should have continued in governance in 1996 .What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander .Now that the boot was on the other leg there was a different war cry. Tally centres have been seen as “tampalay centers “ by the APC .The SLPP has been through fire and brimstone .The prayers of the nation have not been in vain .We are ready to square up any sentinmental tantrums .
