The Government of Sierra Leone through the Ministry of Health & Sanitation has received a grant from The Global Fund (GF) under the Z- Grant for the Strengthening of the Health Systems. Part of the proceeds of the grant will be used to finance the procurement of Medical Boxes for CHW. The Project executing agency, the Integrated Health Projects Administration Unit (IHPAU) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for the Supply and Delivery of Fifteen Thousand (15,000) Medical Boxes for CHW.
Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the relevant Articles of the Sierra Leone National Public Procurement Act of 2004 revised and updated in June 2016 and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. Bidding is open to all contractors who can demonstrate that, they have:
- A Certified True Copy of a Valid Business Registration
- A Certified True Copy of Valid Tax Clearance Certificate from the National Revenue Authority (NRA)
- A Certified True Copy of National Social Security and Insurance Trust (NASSIT) Clearance Certificate
- A Copy of Audited Financial Report for three Financial year
- Documentary evidence of similar contract performed
International bidders/firms can submit the equivalent of the above mentioned documents.
Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below, and may inspect the bidding documents during office hours: 1100hrs to 1500hrs GMT from Monday through Friday at the address given below.
A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address given below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Le: 500,000 or its equivalent in any freely convertible currency. The method of payment will be by direct deposit to the following bank account:

Bids must be delivered to the address below, on/or before Thursday, the 10th May, 2018 at 14:00hrs GMT. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected and will be returned unopened. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below, on Thursday, the 10th May, 2018 at 14:00hrs GMT immediately after the closing of the bids.
The amount and currency of the bid security shall be – Fifty million Leones or equivalent in any three freely convertible currencies.
