Sheriff Bangura, a junks seller, on Thursday 13th August 2020 appeared before Magistrate Abdul Sheriff of Court No.3 on Pademba Road in Freetown for sexually penetrating a 14 year old JSS 1 pupil.
The accused, Sheriff Bangura, is charged with a count of sexual penetration of a child, contrary to Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act 2012 as repealed by Section 4 of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act 2019.
According to the charge sheet, the accused, Sheriff Bangura, on Monday 17th February 2020, at Rural Education Committee (REC) Primary School at Gloucester village Freetown, sexually penetrated a child below the age of 18, to wit 14 years.
The accused is not represented. He was remanded in custody until the 20th August 2020
