Lesbianism, according to the laws of Sierra Leone,  is a serious crime that carries capital punishment if one is found wanting.  It is also seen as an immoral act especially in Islamic and christian homes  in Sierra Leone,  and those who take part in it are often killed or sometimes driven away from their communities.
