The Executive of the National Olympic Committee of Sierra Leone (NOC-SLE), headed by its visionary leader, Prince Vady Sualley has emphasized the importance of sports in uniting and inspiring the nation.

In its 2025 New Year Message, the NOC-SLE highlighted Sierra Leone’s participation in the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as well as other prestigious international competitions throughout the year.

“In 2025, Sierra Leone will proudly participate in the 7th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. These Games provide a vital platform for fostering unity and showcasing the talents of athletes from across the Islamic world. Our athletes are training diligently to represent our nation with pride, honor, and excellence.”

*Beyond the Islamic Solidarity Games, 2025 also brings several other prestigious international competitions. These events not only highlight Sierra Leone’s sporting prowess but also serve as opportunities to forge international friendships and promote our rich cultural heritage.”

The NOC-SLE also reaffirms its commitment to empowering athletes through rigorous training, improved facilities, and strategic partnerships.

“In preparation for these competitions, the NOC-SLE is working tirelessly to support our athletes. We are committed to enhancing their performance through targeted training programs, advanced facilities, and strategic partnerships.
