An astute supporter of President Bio and the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP), Lansana Jawara, alas 2018 Jawara, has told journalists in Kenema that President Julius Maada Bio is capable of driving Sierra Leone to the promise land where citizens will have equal opportunity to job and educational facilities.
Lansana Jawara made this statement on Monday 4th June, 2018 at the Media One Center along Blama Road where journalists converged to deliberate issues of relevance. He claimed that he traversed the length and breadth of this country during the campaign period of His Excellency, spreading the good message of the president; like when he handed over power to a democratically elected president in 1996, adding that many people thought was it impossible.
2018 Jawara noted that it was this same Maada Bio that took power from the one party state of the APC in the 90s and has again defeated them through democratic means. He said Maada Bio, then, helped to restore the dignity of some minority groups like the Mandingos by giving back power, which the elected President by then made use of.
The mad supporter said, during the reign of SLPP under the Late President Kabbah, the country had a lot of developments, including in education, health and infrastructure, but from that time there has been nothing good to write home about in terms of development.
He said as an astute supporter of the SLPP and President Bio, he is calling on the government to focus and bring on board all those who have worked for the Party, including himself, as there is a popular saying that ‘Monky wok ,Monky Eat; Not Monkey Wok, Baboo Eat.’
