A resident of Kerry Town outside Waterloo, Pa Alhaji Amadu Kamara, has testified before Magistrate John Samai at the Ross Magistrate Court No. 2 in an ongoing matter of land dispute between two Kamara families for land situated between Kerry and Cline Towns outside Waterloo.
Pa Alhaji Amodu Kamara in his testimony informed the court that he recognized the two accused persons as the grand sons of late Amodu Langba and that he also knew the complainant, Sheku Kamara.
The witness continued that he is aware of the land dispute between the complainant and the accused persons and that the land in question was owned by late Amodu Kamara Langba.
He furthered that in the days of Pa Amodu Kamara, he was fully in charge of all land issues at Kerry and Cline towns respectively.
The witness continued his testimony by stating that he recalled when one Mamie Bellay had approached the late man (Amdou Kamara ) for a piece of land which she was given.
He narrated that she later erected a structure at the said land which is on the site up to date.
The witness further recounted that Mamie Bally later constructed another structure on the said piece land which was never allocated to her by the owner.
This, according to the witness, annoyed the late man who decided to sue Mamie Bellay to court and that Pa Amadou Kamara later won the matter.
The witness made it explicitly clear that the land in question belongs to the late man (Pa Amodu Kamara) not Sheku Kamara, the complainant.
The accused were before the court for land grabbing contrary to the Laws of Sierra Leone.
The matter was adjourned to 29th November, 2019.
