Isata Bindi on Friday, 16th May, 2025 made her first appearance before Magistrate Sahr Kekura of Pademba Road Court No.1 in Freetown for allegedly stabbing one Mustapha Bangura
Bindi is arraigned before the court on a count charge of manslaughter contrary to law.
Police allege that Bindi on 2nd April 2025 at Fossic Williams Drive off Aberdeen Road, in Freetown, unlawfully killed Mustapha Bangura.
When the charge was read and explained to the accused person no plea taken.
The accused was unrepresented before the court while the matter is being prosecuted by ASP Ibrahim Mansaray on behalf of the Inspector General of police.
Prosecutor Mansaray sought for an adjournment on the ground that the prosecution witnesses are absent before the court.
Magistrate Kekura refused bail based on the seriousness of the offences and adjourned the matter to the 23rd May 2025 for hearing.
