Eighteen-year-old Raymond Kalokoh, a vehicle mechanic, has been sent to the male correctional facility for record and sentence after he pleaded guilty before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah of Pademba Road Court No. 1 on the charge of larceny.
The defendant was arraigned on a count charge of larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
According to the particulars of offence, on Thursday, 12th March, 2026, at the Connaught Government Hospital in the Western Area, Freetown, the defendant stole four yards of 70mm cables, a 12 volts Direct Current (DC) alternator, and other assorted items, all to the total value of twenty-six thousand three hundred Leones (Le26,300), property of Government Connaught Hospital, whilst in the custody of Abdul Turay.
When the charge was read and explained to the defendant, he pleaded guilty.
Meanwhile, Magistrate Jah refused bail and ordered that the defendant be remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 14th April 2026 for record and sentence.
