A businessman, Mustapha Mansaray recently appeared before Magistrate Rugiatu Sesay of Court No. 5 on Pademba Road, Freetown for allegedly converting over Le55, 000, 000. 00 (Fifty-Five Million Leones) property meant to be delivered to Rahman Wilson in the United States of America (USA).
According to the indictment, the accused between June 2017 and January 2018 at No. 1 Hagan Street, Freetown, fraudulently converted to his own use and benefit certain property valued US$5,580, which is equivalent to Le55 million entrusted to him by Esther Maria Alie for the purpose of delivering same to Rahman Wilson in the USA.
The accused was on Le10 million bail and one surety in like sum, whilst the matter was prosecuted by Sergeant Amiza John.
The matter was adjourned to Tuesday 4th August, 2020.
