CITY PEEP TO FORM POLITICAL PARTY
City Peep had a brain wave on hearing that President Julius Maada Bio had met with 17 political parties. The President does not meet with the political parties on a weekly or monthly basis. His recent meeting with them means that push came to shove. It was triggered by the State of Emergency but that is not the gripe of City Peep at this point in time.
The agenda of City Peep is to end the monopoly of governance of this country since independence once and for all. The fact is that the other 15 parties have had no sense of direction over the years. In other words they have been going in the wrong direction. In such a case how do they hope to break the SLPP/APC monopoly?
City peep is taking advantage of the Freedom of Association enshrined in our Constitution. In passing City Peep wishes it to be known that the new party to be formed will not be a cabal like some of the 15 other parties which on close examination are virtually cabals. City Peep is conscious of the fact that party divisions are indivisible from free government. Unlike other parties the City Peep Party will not comprise of egoists. We shall adopt the bottom-top approach instead of the top-bottom approach. Work is well underway to establish our headquarters. Interested members should contact the proprietor of this newspaper. WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO AIG MEMUNA?
In January this year City Peep learnt that AIG Memuna had been suspended with immediate effect. The matter was before the CDIID department of the Sierra Leone Police. The Police memo further stated that she would remain suspended until the outcome of the investigation.
The particulars of offence, for which there was investigation related to insubordination, disrespect in words, use of abusive language, assault and quarrelling with members of the force and making vexatious complaints, etc. AIG Memuna seems to have exhausted all the offences available at the CDIID leaving little or none for other offenders. City Peep heard unbelievably that she has been cleared of all the offences and restored to her status as if nothing happened. If that is so then City Peep concluded that it was a case of John pamai troway nar John rece which is another phrase for corruption.
