Ahead of the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games, the Movement for Health Coalition has launched an inclusive nationwide campaign titled “Together We Move” aimed at encouraging physical activity across Scotland.
The campaign was unveiled at Cuningar Loop in Glasgow’s East End, a legacy site from the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Supported by Scotland’s Summer of Sport and Glasgow 2026’s “All In” initiative, the programme focuses on promoting movement among children, families and people living with long-term health conditions.
The launch brought together health experts, community leaders, athletes and government representatives, including Scotland’s Chief Medical Officer Professor Sir Gregor Smith, Glasgow 2026 Chief Marketing Officer Louisa Mahon and Team Scotland Para Bowls gold medallist Pauline Wilson.
Speaking at the event, Louisa Mahon said inclusivity and accessibility remain central to Glasgow 2026, adding that the Games aim to create a lasting community impact beyond sport.
Movement for Health Programme Manager Emma Anderson stressed that all forms of movement matter, from walking and stretching to dancing, especially for people with health challenges.
Professor Sir Gregor Smith described the initiative as an important step in promoting both physical and mental wellbeing across Scotland.
Glasgow 2026 is expected to host the largest Para sport programme in Commonwealth Games history as organisers continue efforts to build a healthier and more inclusive society through sport and physical activity.
